HOW IT STARTED

Hillco has been Southern California's fastener specialists since 1976.

Black Ice Hardware was discovered, decades ago, by mistake. A few stainless steel bolts got mixed in when we were applying a black finish to regular steel. The result was a deep, black finish that didn’t rust.

Since then, we’ve continued applying black finishes to stainless steel. Custom runs, one job at a time. In 2024, we made it a dedicated product line.

The difference is the base material. Black Ice starts with stainless steel, not carbon steel that rusts. Proven in automotive applications where typical black hardware fails.
